I believe the number is from the commits@ mailing list setup, where I
have added all the addresses of commiters to the "preapproved" list of
addresses to make sure their commits are sent unmoderated to the list.
And yes, the number is high.  Not sure how high any more, as I have
not checked if for a year or two, only kept adding addresses. :)
