For many years I was using UDP but while switching to Woody I have encountered heavy performance problems under NFS v3. Then I was switching to tcp and since then ALL is working perfectly. My internal FileServer has 48 User and /home is exported to 17 workstations. But now while switching to Etch, I have kicked of the client side of NFS while connecting to my Courier-Imap server on the same machine... Exactly while mutt is receiving of the directory listing... However, I recommend on the client machines to use: rw,bg,hard,intr,tcp,vers=3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 Thanks, Greetings and nice Day Michelle Konzack Systemadministrator Tamay Dogan Network Debian GNU/Linux Consultant -- Linux-User #280138 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org/ ##################### Debian GNU/Linux Consultant ##################### Michelle Konzack Apt. 917 ICQ #328449886 50, rue de Soultz MSM LinuxMichi 0033/6/61925193 67100 Strasbourg/France IRC #Debian (irc.icq.com)
