That is really good to hear for me too :)
And sorry I simply couldn't find that out before posting.
As already mentioned, I believe the OLPC guys do a very great job, I
love this project, but however I am happy that there might be an
alternate debian(-edu) GNU/Linux version as well (that I wouldn't be
able to develop) --- not only Windows as an alternative. Indeed, there
fortunately seems to be a lot of progress at the OLPC debian-edu
project, as far as I can see from the sites.
