The section [homes] is the place where w9x-clients store their profiles.
It is a trick to hide the profiles folder for these clients by adding a dot in 
front of the foldername.
This trick is described by the samba-team as a workaround for w9x-clients in 
the samba3-HOWTO's of 18th October 2005 in chapter 26.2.1.2 under "Desktop 
Profile Management".
