          Priority: P1

(this is a translation of Harald's report cf. URL)

Trying to run GCompris from a thin client (Skolelinux Sarge-rc1) gives no
reaction. The reason is as follows:

The binary is located in /usr/games/

But this path is missing in $PATH environment on thin clients, while it exists
if I directly log in at the thin client server:
.....:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:

This workaround can fix the problem:
- State full path in kmenu entry for gcompris
- Extend $PATH variable
- create symbolic link /usr/bin/gcompris -> /usr/games/gcompris

Further hints:
- Within files /etc/profile and /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/profile, paths are set as
required. Thus it seems mysterious why thin clients users don't have the full
path list.

Reccomendation:
Use option "-w" with gcompris to start the application in a window to avoid
fullscreen mode. This can fix problems with some screens - expecially with thin
clients.
