[Bug 1053] New: Machine with scsi-tape-drive should have /dev/tape

http://bugs.skolelinux.no/show_bug.cgi?id=1053

Summary: Machine with scsi-tape-drive should have /dev/tape
           Product: Skolelinux
           Version: sarge-rc1
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Installation system
        AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
        ReportedBy: juergen@leibner-net.de

After installation on a Compaq proliant 3000 with lto 35/70GB scsi-tape-drive,
I tried to test it with mt and tar. It works fine so far. But for easy using
of this tape-device there should be a default link /dev/tape to /dev/st0.
I do not know if it is easy to check during installation if there is a tape-
device or not.
