Please remove the umask setting in /etc/skel/.bash_profile 
Solution relates to #248140 #248150 #314539   
  
There is a choice between setting the umask setting in /etc/profiles  
AND /etc/login.defs until pam_umask, the future place to centraly set the  
umask in debian, is in base, or to already remove the umask settings in the  
shell configuration files and include pam_umask on the CD.  
  
Think these kinds of umask redundancy might have been necessary before due to  
KDE <3.3 not honoring the umask.
