After some correspondence with kde and debian-edu developers, I file this bug 
here, too, in order to obtain a fixed version (exchange .po files) of klatin 
for Skolelinux/Debian-Edu Sarge. This seems necessary, as KDE 3.x has a string 
freeze, so they won't fix the bug within KDE 3.x (which we are using with 
Sarge).
