[Bug 973] New: KFloppy access non existing device /dev/fd0h1440

http://bugs.skolelinux.no/show_bug.cgi?id=973

Summary: KFloppy access non existing device /dev/fd0h1440
           Product: Skolelinux
           Version: sarge-pr05
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Configuration
        AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
        ReportedBy: dirkmemail-skolelinux@yahoo.de

Using KFloppy to format a floppy fails with the message like
'cannot access /dev/fd0h1440'
what is the truth (Kernel2.6) :-(.

It is possible to configure KFloppy correctly or should there be a default
symlink for compatibility.

A normal user (incl. some teachers) has any change to fix it by itself and will
call linux .... because it cannot do the simple stuff (not my opinion, but a
feedback I got)
