[Bug 909] Email sent to mail system on a workstation is not relayed to mainserver

------- Additional Comments From harald@skolelinux.no 2005-05-23 14:24 -------
The real problem here is that the main server (postoffice) setup is not to
accept mail from anything but itself (localhost).
Even if mail is sent from other hosts to postoffice, postoffice won't accept it.

Default behaviour for postoffice should be to accept mail from all hosts but
(possibly) the firewall.

On another note, «postoffice» is a rather rare and unusual name for an email
server. CNAMEs like 'mail', 'smtp', 'postmaster' (the default for ssmtp) etc.
should be added.

I know exim can do this, it's the reason it was mentioned after all. The fine
thing about ssmtp is: It's real small and easy to massively employ.
You don't *need* exim for any other hosts than the postmaster.
