Ah!  I misunderstood your last post on this.  I thought this would just
sort out the autoprobing of tg3 if it supported it.  I didn't realise it
might actually be what was stopping the tg3 driver from loading.  I really
must learn more about the module loading process.

If this sorts me out and my pci id is different, I'll do the same.
