Server at the ISP, thin client in the home?
I'm sure some of you have thought of this already,
but now it has hit the popular press:

According to this prescription you should follow the model of the mobile
phone industry: give the thin client away, and charge for services.
I suspect a lot of people could be interested in such a model,
especially as security problems worsen:
