weekly report week 39

Done last week:

 - Wrote framework for automated install testing in bochs. (incomplete)
 - came up with timeline for the next 2 d-i releases
 - d-i meeting at Oldenburg, discussed release plans and schedule for
sarge, and plans for after sarge release
(minutes posted to debian-boot mailing list)
 - misc work at oldenburg:
 	- with Anton on fixing partman's swap checking
 	- with Colin and Sven on powerpc floppy reduction
	- with Anton on partman-autolvm
	- with fjp on countrychooser shortlist fixing
	- with jbailey on build system improvements for 2.6 kernels
	- with markos on localization-config dependency reduction
	- fix size of netinst CDs
	- more work on d-i kernel transitions
	- some work and testing of root on software raid, fixed
	  lilo-installer (partly)
	- fixed i386 floppys (out of space again)
	- with fjp on installation manual
 - Added better detection of failed debian-edu CD builds, fix the stale
log file problem with a pid file.

Plans for this week:

 - Finish bochs test framework support.
 - d-i tc2 release
 - Work on RC bugs on debian-edu packages.

General TODO list:

 - Assign bugs in the Debian BTS for the items listed in
   http://lists.debian.org/debian-cd/2004/03/msg00017.html
   (After verifying/reproducing them).
 - Read over the new English translation of the drift book.
 - I'd like to begin checking all recent CAN numbers to see if those
security holes are fixed in sarge, but this is such an enormous task
that I'm hesitant to begin (could take weeks).
