Salut,

well, I am not an expert for X settings, nor did I ever use french keyboards, 
but as far as I know the thin clients' X settings are defined 
in /etc/ltsp/lts.conf (IIRC).

There are some entries for keyboard and mouse layout (where do I enable the 
scroll wheel? Replaceing PS/2 with ImPS/2 didn't work - or do I have to 
restart the LTSP server?)

Have a look there, maybe it helps.
