My testserver is a laptop, previously the task education-laptop was installed by
default when I installed on this machine, not so anymore. Rather bothersome since 
without this my pcmcia cards doesn't function.
A apt-get install education-laptop partially solves the problem, a 
apt-get install kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.25-1-386 was also needed.
