http://bugs.skolelinux.no/show_bug.cgi?id=647

Summary: upgrade makes the networkscards switch roles.
           Product: Skolelinux
           Version: CVS
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P2
         Component: System distrubution
        AssignedTo: nobody@skolelinux.no
        ReportedBy: klaus@astro.uio.no

Just rebootet my servers, 4 with 35 days uptime, only to find out that they came
up with their networkcards switched, eth0->eth1 and eth0->eth1, not a pleasent
surprise.

This is ifconfig-before:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:75:81:AB:CB
inet addr:10.0.2.2 Bcast:10.0.3.255 Mask:255.255.254.0
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:18:02:B5:D2
inet addr:192.168.0.254 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

This is ifconfig-after:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:18:02:B5:D2
          inet addr:10.0.2.2 Bcast:10.0.3.255 Mask:255.255.254.0
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:75:81:AB:CB
          inet addr:192.168.0.254 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

This is the case with all my servers.

I consider having to re-wire my servers after an upgrade rather silly.
What other files is of interest?
