Unidentified subject!
I've made a new Skolelinux CD image, prerelease 42. It is available
from <URL:ftp://developer.skolelinux.no/skolelinux-cd/>. The image
size is 648 MiB.
Major changes since the previous image:
* In first stage installer (debian-installer):
+ Upgraded base floppy.
+ Changed text and updated translations.
* Made sure the default XFree86 and LTSP client keyboard layout is correct
for non-Norwegian keyboards as well. (Petter) (Fixes bug #448 and #413)
* Added package fam on networked hosts. This should reduce the amount of
network trafic generated from workstations and thin client servers to the
main server. (Petter, Jarle)
* Added webmin module for LDAP netgroup administration
(webmin-ldap-netgroups). (Alex)
* Made sure we use ext3 file system instead of ext2, and added test to make
sure it is detected next time it fails. (Petter)
* Added first try on code to warn the users when their home directory
partition is full. (Finn-Arne)
* Added separate LVM volume on thin client servers to store the clients swap
files. (Ragnar)
* Webmin-ldap-skolelinux. (Finn-Arne)
+ Fixed bug #524 (File import of users listed as Lastname; Firstname
leaves Fullname blank)
+ Removed some more debug output
* Security updates to: postgresql (to 7.2.1-2woody4),
* I probably forgot something.
I have testet that the CD is bootable and installable using VMWare.

The following configuration for server and LTSP-server should work out
of the box:
- Apache
- CUPS
- DHCP
- DNS
- LDAP
- LTSP
- NFS/SMB
- NTP
- SMTP/IMAP
- SSH
- Squid
- Webmin
- User administration
The following services do not work as they should:
- cfengine (need netgroups, ie LDAP or NIS)
- Backup (not ready yet)
- SQL-tjener (unable to install automatically)
- Appletalk (no one has worked on it)
- Host and service monitoring. (not ready yet)
Test it and find out more. :-)
