I think all you need to do is to replace in the file 
/etc/nss-ldapd.conf this line:
uri DNS
with this line:
uri ldap://ldap

Or as an alternativ you could add to the file 
/etc/bind/debian-edu/db.intern
these lines:
;RFC2782
_ldap._tcp                      IN      SRV     0 100 389 tjener
_syslog._udp                    IN      SRV     0 100 514 tjener
