(too) long mail... lwat will prevent you from creating a new user with the same username that once was on the system, it doesn't help to delete it, lwat "leaves" behind the deleted users personal group, to prevent you from creating a user with the same username. If you are sure that you want to re-create a user with the same username, you must first delete the personal group. You can use the attached script, and use it like this to see what will be done: ./ldif_remove_old_primarygroups.pl And then like this to really remove the groups(all on one line): ./ldif_remove_old_primarygroups.pl | ldapmodify -x -ZZ -W -D cn=admin,ou=People,dc=skole,dc=skolelinux,dc=no -- Klaus Ade klaus@bzz.no 67E61D18B2C44F8A3DA35C6D849F9F5F 26FA477D
