Probier den mal, aber deinstalliere den vorhanden Client.
Wenn Du auf den fremden Rechner mit ssh zugreifen, kannst, sollte es
auch mit NX gehen.
Beim Clientsetup unter Advanced gibt es noch die Möglichkeit "Clear all
Cache files". Damit kannst Du den Müll aus alten Versuchen löschen.
Wenns nicht klappt, wird am Ende des Verbindungsversuchs eine Seite mit
LOG Infos angezeigt. Die sind zwar zu klein um sie zu lesen, aber mit
Copy and paste in eine Text Datei kann man das lesbar machen. Dort
stehen die Log -Informationen Fehler ziemlich ausführlich beschrieben.

Ich habe alle freenx pakete geloescht und neu installiert.
Jetzt bekomme ich immerhin fuer eine Sekunde ein FreeNX-Fenster.
Was kann ich weiter tun?

__Das ist die Situation:__
freenx 0.4.4+0.4.5-4, auf kanotix
nxclient 1.4.0-91 auf einem live-knoppix
__Das tat ich:__
- apt-get remove --purge alle-moeglichen-nx-pakete
- apt-get install freenx nxagent
- In der Konfiguration wählte ich den no-machine-key.
- Den SSHD_Port in /etc/nxserver/node.conf passte ich meinem ssh-daemon
an.
- PubkeyAuthentication in der /etc/ssh/sshd_config setzte ich auf yes
- Der Variable AllowUsers in /etc/ssh/sshd_config fuegte ich nx hinzu
- Ich startete knoppix (192.168.0.15).
- Von knoppix aus kann ich mich problemlos via ssh auf dem Server
anmelden.
- Ich sdtartete nxclient.
- Alles scheint gut zu sein, es erscheint ein großes Fenster mit
schwarzem
Hintergrund und einem mittigen NoMachine-Logo. Dieses verschwindet aber
nach
einer Sekunde.
