PreRelease 05 of Sarge-based Debian-edu
Not so many changes this time but it's been some weeks since last
prerelease, this is just a reminder for those of you who wants to have
something to test against.
New highlights this time is:
-PreRelease includes an image for use on PowerPC:
The image is only tested on a Pegasos PowerPC, and I would like
feedback from user of mac-hardware
-Lessdisks as a thin client solution:
I didn't try to hard to find or build LTSP packages for powerpc
clients, but instead set up lessdisks as a working solution. The
packages is also added for the i386 CD.

New Packages on the CD:
lessdisks - The powerpc variant of the CD uses lessdisks to set up
thin client, since there is no ltsp packages for powerpc
clients.
courier-ldap - To make it for the imapserver to authenticate
ldap-users
udebs needed to use the cd as a base for a netboot installation.
Automaticly added by the cdbuild script (but not installed by default):
nvidia-stuff - The autobuilder decided that there were enough space to
include the nvidia kernel and glx stuff
vnc server and clients
Upgraded packages:
zlib1g - Security update
libkrb53 - Security update
Debian-edu-install upgraded to 0.646+svn4227 (from 0.646+svn3711)

- Detected non-running debian-edu-config during base-config for
french install. Could happen for other languages to. thanks to
Frederic Renet, Arnaud Hocevar and 'kernelsensei' for spotting

Debian-edu upgraded to 0.803+svn4246 (from 0.803+svn3931)
- Added exim4-daemon-heavy for the main-server
- Added back in tdb-tools
- Added debconf-utils, to make it easier to fetch debconf settings
- Added lessdisks for the server side, added syslinux, for thin
client server
- Replaced ghostview with gv, as ghostview no longer exists.

Debian-edu-config upgraded to 0.398+svn4246 (from 0.398+svn3920)

The new image is availible from developer by rsync(preffered if you have
an old image) or ftp.
