Maybe you should just remove the whole ldap-database and replace it with
how it looked like right after install was finished, and just start all
over?

Stop slap
# /etc/init.d/slapd stop
[2]
Make a copy of the ldap, just in case
# slapcat -l /root/ldap.old.ldif
[3]
Remove old ldap
# mv /var/lib/ldap/* /tmp
[4]
Re-create the ldap like it was after install
# ldap-debian-edu-install
[5]
Start slapd agian
# /etc/init.d/slapd start
