I've been running 120 thinclients at a school with 500 students for more 
than two years, and this is true. Lock down all your thinclients to 
MAC-adress, then you can safely identify what a user did on which 
thinclient, and when.

Then you can do funny things like this with the file
/etc/kde2/kdm/kdmrc

AutoLoginEnable=true
AutoLoginUser=klaus

[X-ltsp011:0-Greeter]
PreselectUser=Default
DefaultUser=helmut
