Then you should try to specify that this thinclient should use the old
S3 X 3.3.6 driver, put this line in the file
 /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf
either under [Default] or for the specified thinclient [ltsp0XX]
this line
XSERVER            = XF86_S3

Maybe the card is so old that it can't handle 1024x768, then use this
line to lower that
X_MODE_0           = 800x600
