Following is a good opportunity for someone who wants to contribute/help
with Debian. Volunteering with the video team in DC20 was my start into
Debian, it can be yours too, so try ;)

DebConf relies on volunteers to record and stream videos. Each and every
talk given at DebConf this year needs two video volunteers, namely:
* a Talkmeister (to introduce the talks and manage Q&A)
* a Director (Video Mixer)
These tasks are documented in detail in the Video Team's online
documentation [1].
We need your help to do this work. We'll teach you how to do all of
these tasks, but rest assured, it's not hard.
If you want to volunteer, please register for a training session on the
wiki [2].
Helping the Video Team can be a great way to contribute to the
conference and listen to talks at the same time.
