While I have no clue, I do see only two bugs filed under postgresql
and none of them are serious -
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=postgresql;dist=stable
although the version they use is postgresql 9.6 and not 9.2
https://packages.debian.org/stretch/postgresql
Unless you have some specific use-case then would suggest using the
one in Debian repo.
Anything which is outside of whatever Debian has in stable, support
might be an issue.
