One of the initiatives which I would like to drive/be associated with
testing of the debian-installer alpha releases (unless of course
Debian decides to ditch d-i in favor of calamares but dunno if such a
decision has been reached or not, Raju may have some idea). If d-i is
going to be the staple, it would be nice and interesting and see how
the d-i works with our ADSL connectivity -

Apart from other initiatives that Praveen and others may bring, this
is one close to my heart, especially if we can get the mate-desktop
instead of LXDE which is the one which gets installed.
I had faced quite a few issues with alpha2 netinstall and don't have
hardware free at my end to play around. It would be nice if we can
hook a system with a serial port and record whatever happens when we
try to have a minimal mate-desktop using netinstall and just record
what happens.
Look forward to having minidebconfs soonish.
We should also try to have some budgets for travel, boarding as well
so we could have minidebconfs not just in mumbai but also have
minidebconfs in suburbs and elsewhere so people are more aware.
