The Debconf Video Team commonly operates only loosely coordinated with the rest of Debconf preparations. I recommend you try encourage same style: get Video volunteers to meet virtually as very soon as possible - physical and/or formal meetings are important too for different reasons, but need not hold back getting started with video preparations! Feel free to try involve me e.g. for getting applications packaged (example: official Debian packages lack latest development in libvpx which seem to include a speed gain for VP8 encoder).
