In fact, this is not just a 'tiny' typing error; the error is what we call a 'dt fout' in Dutch ('dt error'), and is a spelling mistake often made by Dutch writers, but which comes across as very unprofessional. The problem is similar to the English spelling issue with "it's" versus "its". For this reason, I would like to urge the dpkg development team to please make this change before the Sarge release, if they are not already planning to do so.
