Bug#278118: dpkg: Aptitude recommendation (not used in all --help)
Package: dpkg
Version: N/A
Severity: wishlist
Reviewing the spanish es.po file for a translation update I've noticed that
that 'dpkg --help' output was recently changed to point users to
'dselect' _or_ 'aptitude' for friendlier package management interfaces,
however, other messages just recommended dselect:
#: main/main.c:120
msgid ""
"Type dpkg --help for help about installing and deinstalling packages
[*];\n"
"Use dselect for user-friendly package management;\n"
and
#: dpkg-deb/main.c:58
msgid ""
(...)
"Use 'dpkg' to install and remove packages from your system, or\n"
"'dselect' for user-friendly package management. Packages unpacked\n"
Maybe these msgids should be modified too?
Regards
Javier
