Package: bind9
Version: 1:9.2.1-3
Severity: normal

Upgrading from Bind to Bind9 removes old pkg Bind, but conffiles are left, including start and stop scripts as reported in other bugs.

Today I purged the old pkg Bind, and it also revoved some of the files for Bind9, at least db.root, db.0 and db.255, and restarting Bind9 gave the following error:
named[28485]: could not configure root hints from '/etc/bind/db.root': file not found

Copying db.root from another machine enabled me to start Bind9 again.

This is probably a problem in pkg Bind, but as it's affecting (users upgrading to) Bind9, I'm reporting the bug here.
