Bug#198699: hmm experiment the same pb today with kernel-source-2.4.24
Hi all,
As i was doing my weekly apt-get distupgrade, it failled when:
"Unpacking replacement kernel-source-2.4.24 ...
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg received a segmentation fault."
After a short analyse it appears quickly that my fs mounted in /usr/src became full :(
(why isn't it detected earlier?)
I do so some cleanup and re-launched 'apt-get distupgrade' which completed fine.
It confirms well the analyse of Steve Pike dated Thursday, 20 November 2003.
It seems so that a child process (i suppose tar) failled with a error which
is wrongly (i check in dmesg and some syslog, messages,... and no actual segfault occurs)
translated (traps?) as a segfault by dpkg.
hth,
Joel
