Bug#226932: dpkg-dev: please consider adding an option to extract more than one changelog entry

Package: dpkg-dev
Version: 1.10.18
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I'd like to write a small utility that creates an interdiff between
two Debian versions of a package. To do that, I need both the current
version number and the previous version number of the package.

dpkg-parsechangelog can give me the current version number, but does
not have an option to extract the version number of the second
changelog entry. It would be good to have an option --number 2 which
gives the n'th changelog entry, counted from the top.

Greetings
Marc
