Bug#213846: (no subject)

Subject: dpkg: Confirmation of segfault when fs full
Followup-For: Bug #213846
Package: dpkg
Version: 1.10.18
Severity: normal

This is definitely reproducible. In my case it happened whilst
installing a new kernel-image-x.x.xx package, and /boot (a separate
filesystem) is full.

I have a core file which is less than useful, as both the stack and eip
point to memory that can't be referenced - I've probably done something
wrong. I also have an strace output, showing that the segfault occurs
immediately after the write() to the first file on /boot returns ENOSPC.

I got lost trying to trace fd_fd_copy into the buffer_copy_setup stuff
in lib/mlib.c - it's a horrendous mess of macro-generated functions.
