Bug#210285: dpkg --print-architecture breaks with gcc 3.4

Package: dpkg
Version: 1.10.10
Severity: normal

Hi,
here's what happens with current gcc-cvs as c compiler:

$ dpkg --print-architecture
dpkg: unexpected output from `gcc --print-libgcc-file-name':
 `/usr/local/stow/gcc-cvs/lib/gcc/powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu/3.4/libgcc.a'
dpkg: compiler libgcc filename not understood: no gcc-lib component
$ gcc -dumpmachine
powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu

it seems upstream renamed lib/gcc-lib to just lib/gcc. This can also be
seen in the recent gcc-snapshot packages. This bug is along the lines of
#131893 & #106793 but may be more serious since gcc 3.4 will be our
default c compiler somewhen in the future.
