Package: dpkg
Version: 1.9.21
Severity: normal
File: /usr/sbin/dpkg-statoverride

On a particular system, I couldn't work out
why my overrides were not working, until I saw this:

scrooge:~# dpkg-statoverride --list /var/run/amavis/
root root 755 /var/run/amavis/

scrooge:~# dpkg-statoverride --list /var/run/amavis
mail mail 0755 /var/run/amavis

IMHO dpkg-statoverride should not allow entry of the first value, or at
least strip the trailing / first.

Having two values for one directory only makes things confusing.
