dpkg-iwj bugs

Is there any reason the bugs against dpkg-iwj haven't been reassigned
back to dpkg and closed? Is it not the case that dpkg-iwj is officially
a dead tree and the bugs being open serve no purpose but to inflate the
bug count and make the various bug processing scripts take longer?

Cheers,
aj
