Jeremy,

Because Univ of Washington doesn't allow modified tarballs to be
distributed, and you have to modify the tarball's paths to be Debian
compliant.

So download the pine-src.deb , the pine-src-diffs.deb , and complile.  Do
not upload or share the resulting files.
