Bug#45511: dpkg-source: random(?) permission(?) problems
Package: dpkg
Version: slink's
Hi,
I'm experiencing this behaviour quite often with `dpkg-source -x <blah>.dsc` :
joy:~/deb/xs$ dpkg-source -x xsol_0.31-2.dsc
dpkg-source: extracting xsol in xsol-0.31
shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent
directories
job-working-directory: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot
access parent directories
joy:~/deb/xs$
However, if I try that same thing one second later, in the same place, under
same circumstances:
joy:~/deb/xs$ rm -rf xsol-0.31/
joy:~/deb/xs$ dpkg-source -x xsol_0.31-2.dsc
dpkg-source: extracting xsol in xsol-0.31
joy:~/deb/xs$
Note that in both cases source package appears to be extracted correctly.
I can reproduce this behaviour. IIRC, on two different machines, too.
Distribution 2.1, Kernel 2.2.12, glibc 2.0.7, architecture ix86.
