Bug#27157: dpkg, possible chown/lchown problem with kernel 2.1.120
Package: dpkg
Version: 1.4.0.27
when i try to install some packages on my linux/m68k kernel 2.1.120
based kernel i get some
dpkg cannot set ownership of symlink xxx.
usually this dispear if i touch the destination file of the offending
symlink.
one example package that had this problem is the older wmaker v14 that
is still in debian/m68k. but they are others.
i am not sure if this is a bug in dpkg, in libc6, or in the
corresponding packages who should be re built for correctly handling
this cases.
i am using debian/slink m68k as of september 20, 1998, kernel 2.1.120,
libc6 2.0.7t.
