Regards David P.-S.: Looking back at the initial bug report, I noticed it was about debian-faq.ps.gz debian-faq.pdf.gz debian-faq.txt.gz (without “.en”), so I retract my initial reply, and believe debian-faq does leave spurious files in ../ (or /var/cache/pbuilder/result/ within pbuilder) and the four byhand files are actually handled correctly by {pbuilder,the thing that delete files from .changes}).
