Package: upgrade-reports Severity: wishlist Thanks to everyone for the excellent work. As far as I am concerned: go ahead and release!! 8-) Despite the few remaining RC bugs, lenny is already better than etch. I followed the very simple instructions from [1] and it worked out fine. The only and very small issue I had was to manually transition from g77 to gfortran. I don't know, why, though. # aptitude remove g77 # aptitude install gfortran Good luck with the few remaining RCs! I cannot thank you too much for providing that excellent thing called Debian!! (I was tempted to write OS, but Debian is far more than a simple OS) Cheers, Johannes -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash

I have introduced information on the g77->gfortran replacement in Squeeze's Release Notes. This has been added in the 'Obsolete packages' section (as the 'Issues' chapter is associated with known problems, not package replacements). The full diff is available at http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/ddp/manuals/trunk/release-notes/en/upgrading.dbk?r1=7713&r2=7714 Feel free to review and send comments on it. Since this is now document, I am closing this bug. Regards JavierAttachment: signature.asc
