Release Notes patch for Sparc issues not applied



In [1] I submitted 2 patches for the Release Notes. It looks like only one 
of those was applied.

Was this intentional or an oversight?
If an oversight, please apply the attached patch concerning Sparc 
installations (slightly modified from previous version).
