Thanks!] I was reading http://www.debian.org/releases/testing/i386/release-notes/ch-upgrading.en.html#s-upgradingpackages and found the following sentence: | apt-get install aptitude | | Provided that you have a working APT configuration as described above | this will install the sarge version of aptitude. Does that mean that using the sarge version of aptitude is recommended in a woody->sarge upgrade? This will install (or upgrade to) sarge versions of some dependencies, won't it? Is this intended? Can I instead use the woody version of aptitude to launch the woody->sarge upgrade? -- :-( This Universe is buggy!
