Missing section to the Debian Tutorial

I run the #Debian channel on EFNet and I've had several users come in
asking how to boot into single user mode. Normally I refer users to
docs since there's no need for the ops to regurgitate what is already
written simply because users don't want to read.

However, I've found a valid complaint from users. In the Tutorial,
there is nothing that covers hw to boot into different runlevels from
the boot prompt. I've searched through all the docs at
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/ and found only allusions to the
process but nothing concrete and defined.

Would it be possible to add a section covering this? Either in the
Debian Tutorial or the User's Guide.
