(x)emacs + developers-community

hello.

how many folks are using emacs?

( especially, xemacs. i'm not sure if the following package will work on
gnu|fsf-emacs )

(  exhibit a : )

		 `egret'.

<excerpt>

     We are pleased to announce public distribution of Egret, a framework
     for computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) applications.

	<elipses/>

	Egret clients and agents are implemented by a 15 KLOC extension
        to XEmacs, the X-window Emacs editor.

a highlight:

	<excerpt>

	AEN supports collaborative hypertext document construction.

	The goal of AEN is to explore the requirements for
          "strong collaboration" ,
       a style of group work diametrically opposed to
            the traditional technique of "divide and conquer"

also, "flashmail" looks interesting ( also listed in the gallery )

... not meaning to implement any un-necessary functionality, but i'd like to
give egret a try on the doc-work , and a one-user implementation might defeat
the purpose, and might bury and of the postivive points about egret, aen , * .

and we need to figure out a way by which everyone will feel like they're getting
a fair share of what profits might come from software-sales of OSS.

income is an encouragement, and it keeps the juice going.
