Hard agree. As someone who is actively trying to reduce the amount of synchronous connection I have with the rest of the world, the fact that much of Debian's process can be done asynchronously is a strong positive for me. I acknowledge that more synchronous workflows may be more efficient, but to me the current system is part of what makes Debian special in a sea of more "modern" operating systems.
