Bug#698110: general: built in webcam in laptop not working

Package: general
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I am a rather new user of Debian.
Since I started to use it, the built-in webcam in my laptop has not work
properly and right now it doesn't work at all.

I am sure the webcam is not broken and after I launch cheese the following
output come:

(cheese:11155): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage
to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only
contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel

(cheese:11155): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage
to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one
widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel

(cheese:11155): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkGrid to
a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain
one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel

(cheese:11155): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage
to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one
widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel
libv4l2: error turning on stream: Errore di protocollo

** (cheese:11155): WARNING **: Error starting streaming on device
'/dev/video1'.

** (cheese:11155): WARNING **: Could not negotiate format

As I see (googling on the internet) that many other users have experienced this
issue, is there any way to fix this problem?

All the best!!!

I have to say that Debian is great and I am really happy to use this OS!!!

Stefano
