This is Laurent Gautier's rewrite/extension of rpy (which we have had in
Debian since 2003).  Version 2.0.0 is the first real release of the new
'version 2'. It is not fully compatible with rpy (v1), but it has a
compatibility mode. Given this, we intent to keep both around for the time
being.

I have a basic package ready. Documentation requires python-sphinc 0.4.3
which will hit unstable within a day (thanks, Piotr and Mikhail!) and I'll 
probably upload to unstable once I can add the rst-based docs.  Drop me a
line if you want to see a snapshot build.
