Bug#462792: ITP: failmalloc -- demonstrate what really happens if memory allocation fails

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org

Hi,

I want to package "failmalloc" library that leads interesting function
for making robust program, made by GNU GRUB author.

   Package name: failmalloc
        Version: 1.0
Upstream Author: Yoshinori K. Okuji <mailto:okuji@enbug.org>
            URL: http://www.nongnu.org/failmalloc/
        License: LGPL-2
Description: demonstrate what really happens if memory allocation fails

Failmalloc addresses problems that is the most critical and not
appear until programs are deployed into a heavy production system.
                 .
Failmalloc inserts hooks into your program, which induces always,
often or sometimes failures of memory allocation calls.
                 .
The functions malloc, realloc and memalign are hooked, but other
functions which use one of these functions are also affected.
